Senior Assistant Superintendent, The Club at Savannah Quarters
The Club at Savannah Quarters, Pooler GA
In my current roll as Senior Assistant Superintendent I have had the privilege of taking on many projects to improve the overall health and condition of the course. Just this past August 2020 we did a complete renovation on our practice facility adding target greens to the range as well as building a complete new chipping green complex and leveling and re sodding the range tee. In 2017, we completed an 18 hole bunker renovation with capillary concrete that lasted over a two and a half month period. In order to reduce wet conditions and increase the playability of turf, I have lead our crew in multiple drainage projects to help with areas that retain to much water. We have hosted several college tournaments including the women's NAIA National Championship along with both the mens and women's Peach Belt Tournaments. Adding in 2020 we have hosted two Georgia State Golf Association tournaments and now the G-Pro Tour where we hosted there championship.
Norfolk Golf Club, Westwood MA
During my time at Norfolk Golf Club, I helped lead the crew in multiple tee complex additions as well as an expansion to our putting green. While managing a crew of over 20 employees, I delegated tasks and taught proper techniques on a daily basis. I applied any and all applications to the entire golf course including fungicides, insecticides, fertilizers and wetting agents. When anything went wrong with the irrigation system I would troubleshoot the situation and get the system back to 100%. Without a daily mechanic, I quickly learned how to maintain an entire equipment fleet as well as ordering and inventory.
The Ranch Golf Club, Southwick MA
My management career kicked off at The Ranch Golf Club when I was quickly promoted my first year, from 2nd Assistant Superintendent to 1st Assistant Superintendent. The Ranch set my foundation on how to treat and respect the people that work for me. Without the crew and people the job cannot get done. The Ranch is where I learned how to mix and apply all applications to the golf course along with how to maintain and operate an irrigation system. The foundation was set for me at the Ranch Golf Club and I've only gone up from there.
